Press Announcement

CeBIT, Hannover 4th of March 2009

BTR Services is proud to announce the launch of the Electronic Signer.

BTR Services
is present at the booth of FIT (Flanders Investment and Trade) at CeBIT. CeBIT is the largest ICT fair in the World that gathers all leading ICT companies and professionals from all over the globe.

BTR Services is taking advantage of this fair to announce the launch of the Electronic Signer, a new module for their product LetterGen.

The Electronic Signer allows you to electronically sign documents using either an eID, a DIGIPASS CertiID (from Vasco) or even using a pencil on a tablet pc. After the signature is added to the document, it can be emailed or archived. There is no need for printing, this way we are contributing as such to a paperless office (Green IT).

The main advantage of this module is that you can actually see the electronic signature in the document whether you signed it with a pencil or an eID. Also when one prints the document it stays visible. Of course as long as the document is not changed. It offers as such the signer’s authenticity with proof of the signer’s identity, document integrity and originality.

A second advantage is that during a sales process the contract can be signed without printing a physical document. This drastically shortens the time to sign a contract.

The Electronic Signer will go in production in a couple of weeks at a customer site in Belgium.

BTR Services also announces a partnership with Vasco to enhance the Electronic Signer with Vasco’s state of the art products for strong authentication, e-signature solutions and services specializing in Internet Security applications and transactions.
