Banking Analyst Financial Markets

About the function

Banking analysts, specialized in financial markets, are able to read the complex business processes of this banking domain, to analyze (self) proposed solutions for business improvement and to assist the project manager with the coordination on the implementation of the solution once it becomes a project.

You will work across the financial markets domain. From foreign exchange and money markets over bonds and equities to the newest derivative products, you will compare the existing processes in front and back-office with the situation “to be” and identify the requirements and limitations for a successful implementation of the project.

During the further project cycle you will be in close contact with all involved parties (project manager, development team, business management,…).  Acting as linking person between business and ICT, you will provide additional information and feedback on the results of the user testing allowing both sides to make realistic decisions on the project.

From the moment of implementation of the project, you will be responsible for the communication and education of the end users and the evaluation of the project.
Profile

Education

• A Master degree in Informatics or Applied Economics and strong interest for IT.
• Experience in an analytical role in dealing room or back-office environment.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good knowledge of the financial markets and products with a strong interest in the infrastructure and processes behind it.
• Strong analytical skills
• Ambitious and result minded personality
• Flexible; easy adapting to changing working circumstances
• Able to work in autonomy and within a project team
• Open minded and fluent communicating person
• Fluent communication in Dutch, French and English
